Achieving the right balance between professional commitment and personal life is important. That’s why Hamburg Süd offers employees the option of flexible working hours. There are also a multitude of health and fitness offerings, including company sports teams, an in-house fitness center, and workspaces equipped with the latest ergonomic equipment. Regular health days on topics such as nutritional diet or stress management complete the picture.

What’s more, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers support for employees who are in need of the experience and assistance of others – from urgent child care to advice on coping with difficult life situations. A wide-ranging support package was put together for this by Hamburg Süd in partnership with pme family service, an independent provider of advisory and placement services.

The employees of Hamburg Süd are paid according to the prevailing collective wage agreements. The year-end (“thirteenth month”) bonus as well as the voluntary company-performance-related bonus are complemented by an attractive social benefits package. Our employees enjoy benefits such as:
